'Mar Pretu' is the secong single from Caravela's debut full length LP 'Orla', an intoxicating mix of Afro-Brazillian rhythms and contemporary London jazz drenched in modern psychedelic and progressive textures.

'Orla' follows on from Caravela's self-titled debut EP in 2017, which drew praise from Gilles Peterson (Worldwide FM, 6Music), Shy One (NTS, Balaami) and Errol Anderson (NTS, Boiler Room, Touching Bass).

'Mar Pretu' is a stunning, experimental song that highlights the suffering in fishing villages caused by oil pollution at sea that affects both Brazil and Cape Verde, two countries that share an ocean as well as a deep connection, both spiritually and musically.
